The House of Representatives has moved to seek the cause of the mysterious deaths that claimed no fewer than thirteen lives in Bonny Island area of Rivers state.

Less than 6 weeks later, no fewer than thirteen lives were lost to mysterious deaths in Bonny Island.
Lawmaker representing Andoni-Opobo-Nkoro in River State, Awaji-Inombek Abiante on Thursday alongside other twelve house of representative members want an investigation into the incident to reveal the cause of the deaths in the area.
They further urged the federal government to immediately establish a federal medical centre in Bonny to cater for the medical needs of multinational oil and gas workers and indigenes in the area.
