The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ijero Local Government on Tuesday at the Council secretariat inaugurated its campaign committees for the December 7 local government election.

In his welcome address, the Chairman of the party in the local government, Mr. James Awe urged the party members across the twelve Wards to be united so that the party will secure landslide victory at the poll. He enjoined them to maintain peace and order, before, during and after the election.

In their separate goodwill messages, the leaders of the party in the local government, Chief Oluwole Ojo and Otunba Kunle Ajayi called on all Aspirants during the primary election to support the Chairmanship candidate of the party, Hon Ropo Ige and all the Councillorship Candidates across the Wards.

The Chief of Staff to Ekiti State governor, Hon Biodun Omoleye thanked the party members for their steadfastness, prayers and support for the government of Ekiti State under the leadership of Dr. Kayode Fayemi, prayed that they will not do it in vain. He reiterated the commitment of governor Fayemi to bring dividends of democracy to all the towns and villages in the local government. “No community will be left out in the developmental programmes of Dr. Kayode Fayemi”. The Chief of Staff assured. Hon. Omoleye who inaugurated the committees charged them to be diligent and work assiduously for the success of the party at the poll.

The Chairmanship candidate of the party, Hon. Ropo Ige thanked his fellow contestants during the primary for their support and commitment to the growth of the party. He promised to obey the constitution of the party, loyal to Ekiti State government as well as party leaders in Ijero Local Government.

The lawmaker representing Ijero Constituency in the House of Assembly who also doubled as the campaign Coordinator, Hon Ademola Ojo called on the party Faithfuls to troop our enmass to cast their votes for all the candidates of APC. He described local government as the closest to the people, hence the needs to put credible hands in the third tier of government in order to bring dividends of democracy to the grassroots.

The campaign Council is made up of seven committes-advisory, Finance,Legal, Media and Publicity, Mobilisation, Security and Women Mobilisation Committee.

Hon Samuel Dada and Hon. Ayo Awe (Ipoti) are to serve as Campaign Directors while Hon Ademola Ojo will serve as Coordinator.
