KAS Consult Limited on Tuesday donated Personal Protective Equipment PPEs to Schools in the Federal Capital Territory as part of support to the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The items are 10,000 packs of three in one protection kit which has in it, Nose mask, a well covered face shield and a pocket sized hand sanitiser.
Presenting the items to the representatives of the All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools ANCOPSS in Abuja, the Managing Director, KAS Consult Limited, Ademola Kasumu said the products were manufactured to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 adding that the gesture was part of measure to show love to Nigerian Students.
He said his organization chose to present the items to exit students for its pilot because they are the first set of the reopening of schools since the lockdown.
Kasumu who described COVID-19 as a threat to humanity, called on private organisations and the general public to join hands with the government in the fight against the pandemic.
“This is not the period to look good, it’s a period to stay alive. We want other organizations to emulate what we have done. The earlier we come together to save ourselves, the better. That is why we have to jointly fight together to ensure we flatten the curve”.
The Managing Director of KAS Consult Limited while commending teachers in the FCT for their sacrifices especially in impacting knowledge in the students urged others schools to emulate such.
Receiving the items on behalf of students in the FCT, the President, All Nigeria Confederation of principals of secondary schools, Mallam Abdulraheem Abdulkareem thanked KAS consult for identifying with the Education sector at a time when they needed it the most.
He affirmed that the donation will be used for the purpose for which it was given.
Similarly, KAS Consult also presented 1,000 packs of the three in one kit to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
This is to support personnel in the front line in the fight against the virus.
Donating the items in the NCDC headquarters, the Managing Director, KAS Limited, Ademola Kasumu stressed the need to support the government agency who have been on its toes since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country since February this year.
The group had initially presented 500 packs of the three in one protection kit to NCDC.
The Managing director stressed that the time is apt to save lives in the country.
Representative of the Director -General NCDC, Mrs Nwando Mba appreciated the organization for the items and assured that it will go a long way in protecting staffs of NCDC and the lives of Nigerians.
Also speaking, Director Administration of NCDC, Yakubu Abdullahi acknowledged that other cooperate bodies have also assisted NCDC. He said joint effort will help conquer the virus.
He assured that the items would be shared among field staffs and front liners who are the most vulnerable to the pandemic.
